Hi! You’re here because you asked me for a recommendation letter. Below are the steps you should follow to get one in time.
- Give me about one month advance notice and I can submit your letter on time. I can’t guarantee that I can submit one for you if you don’t give me a one month notice. You should be checking in with me (commodore.st.germain@solano.edu) about 1 week before the letter is due if you don’t hear from me before then.
- Verify if a letter is actually required for whatever you are applying for.
- Verify how the letter is supposed to be sent to the organization. Download the materials or copy the url of the website and you will need this information for the last item in this list.
- Fill out this form. (~10 minutes, don’t use a phone or tablet)
- This is for a database I keep track of called Solano Success. I feature students from community college that have gone off (or going off) to do cool things. You are probably doing that because you have asked me for a recommendation letter for a school, scholarship, program, or job. You’ll get a completion message and a copy in your email of your responses if you filled it out properly (check your spam folder).
- Fill out this other form (~15 minutes, don’t use a phone or tablet)
- This is information I need to write your letter. Fill it out completely and thoroughly as possible so I can write your letter completely and on-time. You’ll get a completion message and a copy in your email of your responses if you filled it out properly (check your spam folder).
